Un simple coup d'œil sur les sujets les plus en vogue sur Twitter révèle parfois de désagréables surprises. Mercredi 10 octobre, le site Jewpop.com a ainsi constaté que le hashtag (mot-clé) #UnBonJuif était le troisième sujet le plus tweeté en France :
De quoi s'agit-il ? D'un festival de "vannes" communautaires, censées être légères, "fun", prenant pour cible la communauté juive. La plupart des participants se défendent d'être antisémites ou racistes, ils prônent une forme étrange de liberté d'expression, dépouillée de la moindre décence, qui autoriserait tout, jusqu'à l'appel au meurtre, pour rire. Symptôme de cet "humour" qui fait feu de tout bois, l'un de ses animateurs commence par faire une blague sur les arabes...
... avant de proposer le hashtag #UnBonJuif :
Le succès est immédiat, le mot-clé enflamme littéralement le réseau. Nombre d'usagers s'insurgent contre cette initiative et les dérives qu'elle occasionne, mais la tendance est lancée. Entre les blagues de mauvais goût s'immiscent des propos clairement antisémites et des photos d'un autre âge :
Le site Jewpop.com a consacré un article à ce phénomène d'"antisémitisme 2.0", qu'il décrit comme relevant d'une "génération Dieudonné" : "Une génération baignant dans une extrême confusion mentale, pour qui le droit de se moquer de tous – avec un humour supposé – permet d'afficher l'antisémitisme le plus nauséabond, avec pour dénominateur commun le sentiment bien réel d'une injuste 'domination juive', politique, sociale et financière."
Réagissant à cet article et au déluge de condamnations d'usagers outragés, les participants au "concours de blagues" revendiquent le droit à l'humour et à la "liberté d'expression", s'insurgent contre le "deux poids, deux mesures" ou ce qu'ils perçoivent comme une éternelle victimisation des juifs :
Symptôme de cette parole décomplexée vis-à-vis des communautés, le même jour surgissait sur Twitter le hashtag #UnBonMusulman, qui a cependant rencontré une audience bien plus modeste, ou encore #UnBonRaciste.
Alertée, l'Union des étudiants juifs de France (UEJF) s'est aussitôt indignée dimanche dans un communiqué du "record de propos antisémites" suscité par le hashtag #UnBonJuif et a demandé à rencontrer les responsables du réseau en France pour évoquer la modération des messages. "Twitter France doit s'assurer que les messages qui véhiculent des propos haineux, racistes ou antisémites ne soient pas mis en avant ou accessibles à tous sur son réseau social", déclare le président de l'UEJF, Jonathan Hayoun.
Contrairement aux autres pays, personne n'a encore été poursuivi en France pour des tweets racistes. En grande partie parce que personne ne porte plainte,comme l'explique Slate.fr.
